Chowder Fest 2013

We took Chloe to the Fairfield County Chowder fest. It was at the webster bank arena in bridgeport. There were about 30 restaurants and mommy and daddy tried them all. Some were really good and some were really bad. We got some fun pictures of chloe as we were leaving the fest. She was so happy to be walking as we kept her in the stroller during the whole fest.

Valentine's Day 2013

Chloe wasn't feeling so well the week of Valentines Day. Mommy and Daddy were supposed to go away for a night to Stowe in Vermont because mommy had a few vacation days to use but Chloe had other plans in mind. We ended up having to stay home for the week with chloe while she got better and had a little stay-cation.. We did a little photo shoot with chloe on Valentines day to get some current fun pictures of our little valentine.. She is such a little cutie..Loved the pictures of chloe as she tired to smile for mommy. we have to practice that smile a little..

Snow Storm "Nemo"

So we recently got hit with a big snow storm on February 8th 2013 called Nemo.. We got about 14 inches of snow here in CT. We were not able to do much over the weekend that it hit as the snow was so high but we did manage to take chloe outside for a little fun in the snow. We built a snowman, made snow angels, went sledding and then took chloe on a little tubbing ride around the neighborhood. She had a lot of fun. Chloe has a hard time walking around in her snowsuit and boots especially when the snow is up to her waist but she managed to have fun with mommy and daddy anyway..

Chloe at 13months

So chloe is 13 months now. She is really into climbing. She wants to climb on the couch and has been getting better and better at it. Now she can do it all by herself. This makes it hard for mommy and daddy to leave her alone (even in her play area). The minute you look away she is getting up on the couch.. We are teaching her how to get down but she is not that good at it yet. She also likes to climb on her new chair from Nini and Poppy. She will stand up on it and then look at us and laugh. She knows she isn't supposed to do it but thinks its so funny. Its  hard to scold her cause she is so darn cute. We try to keep a stern face but she will stick out her tongue and laugh and we have to try to remain serious. She also loves Little Einsteins and Micky Mouse Clubhouse. She will stop what she is doing and start dancing when the shows are on. She starts to yell Pat Pat Pat Pat when Little Einsteins do the same thing when their rocket ship is about to blast off. Its so funny. She is also saying "Uh Oh".. So if something falls down or is knocked over we all say "Uh Oh". She loves to repeat it over and over. She also loves to play in the kitchen and go through all the cabinets. Mommy reorganized some of the drawers for Chloe's height so she can pull out tupperware and things that are safe for her to play with. We have also had to start putting locks on the drawers and cabinets so she doesn't get hurt. She is really into reading right now too. We have lots of books in her play area. She will pick one out, back up onto one of our laps, sit down and open the book. We will read lots and lots of books and are learning about lots of different colors and shapes and animals. She loves to play with her puzzles, blocks and all her toys. Chloe loves takes everything out of her bins and surround herself with all her toys. Of course mommy needs to put everything away every night but chloe pulls everything out all over again the next day..Chloe also loves to play ball. We have a few sizes and she loves to kick and throw them. We can't wait for the weather to get nice out so we can start playing outside.. Since its still winter daddy has been taking chloe to the westport library. They have a few classes that they go to. There is the mother goose class and the rhythm and rhyme class. She has no fear and loves interacting with all the other kids. its nice for chloe to get out of the house and play with other kids since she doesn't go to daycare. She is such a good little girl and shares and plays great with others. Its been such a fun 13 months and we love  watching chloe learn more and more each day..

Chloe Eating Pics

Chloe still loves to eat. She has gotten a little pickier now that she is getting a little older. She likes to be able to feed herself so it makes it harder in choosing foods. They mostly have to be finger foods. She still loves pasta, pizza and  pancakes. We have to get more creative when making her food now but at least she still loves to eat.. She is realizing textures in food and if she doesn't like the texture she won't eat it.. She has recently been into grapes.  Thank goodness she likes fruit. Veggies are harder to get her to eat but she had carrots the other day and loved them so we just have to keep trying.. Mommy bought new cookbooks just to make sure chloe gets yummy foods that are fun to eat too.

Chloe and Daddy have lots of fun together. Recently they have been making funny faces and taking pictures. Chloe really seems to be grasping the idea and is making the same faces as daddy. Its pretty funny to see the two of them together..

Chloe Learning to Color

We bought chloe her first set of crayons so she can start coloring. Of course the first thing she does is eat the crayons. We taped down some paper and let her try it out. We showed  her how to color on the paper and she seemed to grasp it but she still wanted to eat the crayons. She might be a little too young but we will keep practicing. Next we can try paints...
