Chloe and Daddy having fun..

Chloe and daddy love having fun together. This is a great example of the two of them goofing around.. I just love the 2 of them so much... She loves to mimic her daddy and this is a perfect picture to capture that..

Chloe and Her Pouch

So chloe likes these yogurt fruit smoothie things that come in these pouches. You can unscrew the top and suck out the snack. Once you get the stuff to come out Chloe can suck all the rest out. So the other day she was pointing to her highchair letting us know she was hungry. We were rushing to get ready as it was a saturday and we had lots to do. Daddy had just gotten home from work and needed to change and mommy had to go brush her teeth so we left chloe in the highchair for 2 minutes to have her snack. Well that was a bad idea cause when we came back up stairs this is what we found. She was sure having a blast. It was everywhere. All over her, the floor, the highchair, the table behind her, the cabinet behind her. that thing can surely squirt far in the hands of a 1 year old left alone... It looked like a fun art project when we found her. Mommy had to now change chloe and herself cause she got the yogurt all of herself too. At least now we know not to leave chloe alone with her fruit pouches. Lesson Learned...

We Have Started Brushing Our Teeth

So when Chloe turned 1 the doctor said we need to start brushing her teeth. She only has 5 of them right now but we should start making it part of our nightly routine. So on monday the 7th we tried it out. Mommy got Chloe her first Oral B toothbrush ( it better be Oral B..Mommy did all their commercials for 5 years) and daddy helped Chloe try it out. At first she was a little confused at the fact that she could put this stick thing in her mouth and that it had this funny mild fruity/minty taste to it. She wasn't really sure what to make of it but daddy was really patient and we got it done. we are starting to do this after we get our PJ's on at night. The 2nd night was easier and she wanted to hold it and try it all by herself cause she is miss independent these days :-)

First Snow of 2013

We had our first snow fall of 2013 over the holiday break. Chloe got a new snowsuit from Mimi and Papa Sal and we couldn't wait to try it out. We hadn't gotten a sled yet so Daddy did it ghetto style with a card board box but it worked and we had fun. Chloe had a hard time walking in her snowsuit and at times was a little frustrated but she liked the cold snow in her hands and had fun on our cardboard sled.. Good thing mommy went and bought a real sled. Now we just need it to snow..

New Years Eve 2012

For New Years Eve 2012 we got invited over to our Friends the Hantlers for a party. Chloe is friends with Jacob. She had her other friends, Jake, Penelope and Ava there as well. Its funny at this age. They can all be together but don't really acknowledge each other too much yet. (unless someone takes a toy they are playing with). Other than that they do their own thing or like to play with one of the adults. it was great cause the hantlers have this amazing room downstairs that is completely kid proof so all the kids got to play till they were tired out and then all the parents put the kids to bed in different rooms in pack n plays and then the adults could enjoy the night and have dinner and drink and have fun together. We didn't make it till midnight but till 11pm. Chloe transitioned great from one house to the next and when we got home she went right back to sleep. She rang in the new year with wonderful dreams while mommy and daddy watched new years rock n eve.. .. So excited to share 2013 with Chloe and daddy. Its going to be a great year....

Grandma Bailey and her Grandkids

Grandma Bailey was home for the christmas holiday and the kids got to have lots of fun with her.. She spent 2 days down in westport playing and spending time with chloe. We took Grandma to one of Chloe's favorite places. Stepping Stones Museum. Chloe showed grandma how well she can play with the toys and how fun it was explore all the different places there. Chloe loved this lego wall and just didn't want to leave. We went up to Great Grandma Baileys for sunday dinner and it was fun for chloe to play with her cousins...She loved Great Grandmas Raviolis...We can't wait to see grandma bailey again in the summer..If we don't make it out to LA to see her first...

Chloe's 1 Year Doctor Appointment

Chloe had her 1 year Dr. appointment and did great. She weighs 19.2lbs, and is 29 3/4 tall. She is in the 20% for her size.. She is a little peanut but is perfectly healthy. She loved playing with all the gadgets in the drs. office. She only had to get her finger pricked to check her Iron levels as she wasnt exactly 1 year the day we went so had to go back to get her next round of shots a week later. Chloe is walking now. She started really walking on her own unassisted and steady on her own feet around 11 1/2 months old. She now never wants to be held. She loves her independence. She is really starting to understand us as well. If we ask her questions she can point and try her best to respond. She lets us know when she is hungry by pointing to her highchair and is so good about going to sleep at night. Her grandma bailey got her the turtle night light that shines the moon and starts on her ceiling and she just stares at them and tries to grab the stars.. She is a really good sharer and loves to be around people.. She still loves to play peek a boo and paddy cake. She is able to put her giant mega blocks together and is getting better at putting her big puzzle pieces together. She loves to say hi and bye can is really good at blowing kisses.. She is a so smart and sweet and its just such a pleasure to watch chloe grow..

Christmas 2012

So christmas came with a flurry this year. (literally we awoke to snow covered lawns). It was a great holiday, especially with christmas eve being chloes birthday. After her brunch party at Nini and Poppy's we all got ready and went to Chloe's Great Aunt Carolyn's house for Christmas eve dinner. She had so much fun playing with all her cousins and discovered matchbox cars and became obsessed. Think we need to pull some of daddy's old cars out for chloe to play with. She doesn't quite understand santa yet but knew there was a lot of excitement going on in the house as apparently santa made a quick visit to the party. By 8ish chloe was ready to go home so mommy and daddy had to pack up and head out early from the party. The night was tough cause she got a little cold and was up all night but she was a trooper and ended up having a great christmas day. After opening presents and a great breakfast we packed up and went to the brancati house for presents and dinner. Once again chloe was surrounded by tons of family and just had so much fun. She got more joy out of playing with the empty boxes then all her toys but i think once she was home and settled the toys are all she can play with now.. Its going to be funny to see the change from this year till next year with chloe. Just seeing how much she has changed in the past year is so crazy. it will be so much more in the next year..

Chloes Family Birthday Parties

Chloe had a few 1st birthday parties with her family. She had so much fun and it was really special (and not too overwhelming) for her to get quality time with everyone.. On December 22nd it was the Brancati Family who came down to westport and we celebrated with Pizza and Pasta and Cake. Chloe got to wear a pretty little dress and play with her cousins Isabella and Salvatore.. On her actual birthday Chloe spent it with the Harrington Family. We had a fun brunch party and chloe got to have more of her favorite. Pasta... This time Chloe tried chocolate cake. She made some pretty funny faces when she tired it but ended up really loving it.. She got to spend the day with her cousins Grace, Connor and Brendan and really enjoyed time with family on her birthday.. On the 26th she got to spend time with the Baileys. She loved being with her Grandma and great-grandmother and her Great Uncle billy.. She has gotten some great presents from everyone and she is one lucky little girl. We can't believe she is 1years old already. Mommy and daddy can still remember being in the hospital on christmas eve with their little bundle of joy..
